About this support
Psychosocial disability is the term the NDIS uses for a disability that may arise from a mental health condition. Our role is to support participants with the day-to-day activities, routines and connections that help them live the life they choose.
We take a recovery-oriented approach: the participant leads, we focus on strengths and goals, and we build trust through consistency. We work alongside the participant's treating team, GP, psychosocial recovery coach and family where the participant chooses.
What this support can include
- Building and maintaining daily routines
- Support with household tasks, shopping and meals
- Attending appointments and community activities
- Re-engaging with study, work or volunteering
- Building confidence, independence and social connection
- Consistent workers who understand the participant's needs
NavAura Care provides disability support, not clinical mental health treatment. If you are in crisis, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or 000 in an emergency.
